Customers who have known us for years know how fond we are of the technology FileMaker®software with which we develop applications of all kinds for businesses and individuals. How could we miss the most important event?
This was the 25th FileMaker developer conference and the first since the pandemic, held in the city of Austin, Texas (USA), on the fantastic Apple Campus, Feb. 6-8, 2024.
More than 600 people from all over the world participated, a river of creative personalities full of energy that shared ideas, projects, dreams for 3 days: developers, consulting companies, software factories, CEOs and, of course, the founder of F.technology Franco Farnedi.
Many activities took place and details to report, such as the opening Training Day held by Sara Severson and Martha Zink (of the Proof+Geist), as many as 7 hours of advanced development tutorials and insights for Claris FileMaker Server and Claris Connect, open to 50 participants.
Topics and Speakers
Ideas for the future and present of FileMaker flourished in the classrooms and microphones on the Apple Campus, and many new features were shared.
At the center of innovation,AI dominates and surprises the stage (Sara Sevenson promises to expand on this topic in a future post) promising, leveraging ChatGPT for one, to improve performance, coding and design.
Two sessions explained to us the importance of the Transaction script, and Karl Jreijiri showed us the possibility, with a demo from that garnered much acclaim, of doing load testing by simulating real FileMaker.
Claris, sharing and projects
In short, a rather full agenda interests Claris FileMaker developers!
Much has been said about its future and the fears raised by the Claris Studio introduction: the staff reassures us, FileMaker will not disappear.
Finally, we attended the presentation of the Claris Excellence Awards 2023 and had the pleasure of trying out the new Apple Vision Pro for the first time! A surreal experience…
All that remains is to say goodbye, see you next time, Claris!
